Chapter Three: Revelation

It so happened that this was a time of epiphany for the Fool. He had saved his daughter from a plague and had found the Law. He was a fool by his own reckoning but this truth opened his mind. In learning about the Law, he had discovered another side to the Universe. One interconnected and which spoke of God itself.

Deep in thought, he considered the meaning of this new knowledge. If the Universe is not random, can it be that even Magic exists. Can one affect the world without physically touching it? It was possible. By saving his daughter he had come to respect the elemental nature of living things; of how each thing was exquisitely structured and were capable of generating electromagnetic fields. He remembered to put away his preconceptions and consider what he had been told, what he had seen, the people he had met and the experiences he had had. But how to prove it? Maybe all he needed to do was prove that the shape of an object could be perceived in this field.

He took a deck of cards. Shuffled them and put them face down on the table in front of him. He than tried to imagine seeing the first card in his mind. An object with a shape should produce and electromagnetic field of that shape. Could he see it?

He turned each card over, getting them wrong on each turn, and yet he did not give up. This was when he saw clearly a small image in his mind. The image was that of a spade. He called spades and turned over the next card. It was a spade. He tried again and saw another small image of a spade in his mind. He called it again and again turned over a spade. The probability of this made it possible that luck could have played a part and yet the clarity of the image astounded him.

It was then when something so novel as to be outside his experience happened. The Community's shades took hold of him and led his spirit away. He was told that he met God. He was told that he was an Angel. He was told that he had been chosen. That he was the Christ. And yet how could that be?

And at that moment, his wife picked up the book he was reading and smacked him on the back of the head. It goes to show that God can appear in anyone.
